Know what the numbers mean.
Our directory connects players, clubs, and coaches across the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, Ligue 1, Japan’s J1 League, and Vietnam’s V-League 1.
Scope and selection
This edition covers 130 top-division clubs across seven core leagues, plus Inter Miami in MLS and Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League: 132 clubs and 102 active players in total. MLS uses the 2026 calendar season; the core leagues and Saudi Pro League use 2026/27. The player selection considers international recognition, major-club prominence, and local relevance in Japan and Vietnam. It is an editorial introduction, not a statistical ranking of the world’s best players. Names appear alphabetically.
Club pages include selected players from this collection. They do not claim to list every squad member. MLS and Saudi Pro League coverage is selective, centered on Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo; it is not a complete directory of those leagues.
Verification and timing
This edition was checked on September 21, 2026. League and club publications, J.League staff registrations, and VPF club registrations inform coaching assignments. ESPN supplies player and squad reference data for the five European leagues and J1. Wikipedia provides attributed biographical and historical facts. Individual profiles link to their sources.
These are editorial snapshots, not a live transfer or contract feed. A source’s publication date may precede our check date. Coaching appointments and squad registrations need another review after changes. Historical honors are selected records; an absent entry does not mean the person or club has won nothing.
Financial data
- Salary: a figure must identify currency, period, gross or net basis, and bonus treatment. Third-party salary estimates remain estimates even when a provider labels them “verified.”
- Transfer fee: a payment between clubs, separate from salary and market value. The profile identifies the transfer and whether bonuses are included. An undisclosed fee is not zero.
- Club valuation: a dated estimate of the club as a business. It is not the same as the estimated value of the playing squad.
- Supporter figures: season-ticket holders, members, attendance, and social followers are different measures. Social accounts cannot be added together and presented as unique fans.

Profiles preserve the spelling of personal names while using English URLs and English editorial labels. Profile images are stored locally in optimized formats. Licensed images link to their original file, creator and license on each profile. Creative Commons images retain attribution and their applicable license, including share-alike terms. Club imagery may use a stadium photograph or a crest, as identified in the original file. When a suitable licensed image has not been verified, an explicitly labeled original profile graphic is used.
